There are five basic fears all people have when making a life decision. They are:
- Reluctance to give up options
- Fear of making a mistake
- Social pressures (peer pressuer)
- Fear of losing…everyone wants to be a winner.
- Perceived cost…. is this really going to cost me everything?
A satisfactory effort of evangelism requires addressing each of these fears. Speakers can do well to review these basic obstacles before they speak. And if you are seeking to demonstrate God’s interest in someone’s salvation you will need to pass by these questions.
