I have come across two interesting observations. Older Millennials are in surprising numbers in favor of Republican candidate Ron Paul. I asked two family members why? They said, “Everyone is too satisfied with the status quo. We need a shake up of everything.”
And of course the some what cliche Occupy Wall State has some traction as well.
Churches that are going to enlist the Millennials are going to have to be willing to shake up the status quo.
Business as usual churches are going to be uni-generational. What areas of our churches need to hand over biz as usually. I think we need to get passionate about a spiritual revolution and dismantling of much of what we do.
They are not going to buy into churches guided solely by over wight middle ages men.
One other surprising pair of anecdotes related to women and ordination. I have noted several young women who are fanatically opposed to women leading churches. Interesting?
