Success is found in being specific. General prayer won’t get the job done. Just saying, “Lord I pray for Bob” isn’t really designed to get the job done. Prayer that is more specific you will find is part of the process. Pray like this – “Lord guide Bob to a job that will bring him joy and provision for many years.” You get what you ask for.
Optimism operates the same way. We are wired in such a way that just saying, “I will get there” doesn’t really get us there. True optimism deals with just exactly how it will be accomplished. Optimism is confidence in the plan. Outcomes match our ability to be exact and specific about what we see and believe in.
