Occasionally I am asked, “what would I recommend in way of books” or “which books are your favorites.” And some want to know what I listen to musically. I don’t usually know because I give myself to so much input and I can’t imagine who would care what I think.
Here’s where I am at today:
Who are your favorite authors? That’s easy: Chiam Potok, Wilbur Smith (check him out on Amazon.com), Ellie Weisel, Phil Yancy, and Isaac Bashevis Singer, and at times James Thurber.
What are the books that have shaped you the most? The Presence of the Kingdom – Jacques Ellul; On Becoming Persons – Carl Rogers; Love Acceptance and Forgiveness – Jerry Cook; Learned Optimism – Martin Seligman; and Man in Revolt – Emil Brunner.
Who are your Favorite Leaders? Francis of Assisi, John Wesley, Charles Wesley, Ronald Reagan, Teddy Roosevelt, Martin Luther, Pope Gregory, Pope John Paul, and Winston Churchill
Favorite Music: The Beatles, Art Garfunkel, U2, Charles Wesley, Switchfoot, Wilco, Nirvana, Bob Dylan, Miles Davis, Django Rhinehart, Bee Gees, Charlie Peacock, and Caleb Quaye.
Favorite Website: Academicearth.com, and Anything on YouTube.

So there you go for what it’s worth.
