We get in trouble when we try and cookie cut spiritual experience. Martin Buber (speaking from a universalist’s view) made a profound statement when he said, “All men have access to God but each man has a different access.” Change the word access to experience through Jesus Christ and truth holds up.
People meet Christ in their own unique way. I think we end up socializing people instead of seeing conversions when we seek to streamline the process. Part of being an evangelist is sensing how it will happen this time because the last time is gone forever.
Buber also referenced a rabbinic story in making his point. “Rabbi Zuysa said a short while before his death: ‘in the world to come I shall not be asked: “why weren’t you like Moses?” I shall be asked: “Why were you not Zuysa?”

Did you hear about Dan Fogelberg passing?
Thought of you as I considered his passing and read your recent post.
Wondered if there is any of his music that might be relevant in an upcoming message from you to your readers and congregation.
Merry Christmas.
