On postmodern communication: Coo coo cachoo
Published by Doug Murren November 25th, 2006 in Communication, PostmodernSongwriters use words for effect. You can apply them as you will. It depends upon how they effect you. John Lennon wrote: ”I am the Walrus, I am the egg man coo coo cachoo.” What does this mean? It means nothing. It is a catchy construction of sound. It is language used for effect not meaning.
The history of "I am the Walrus" offers some interesting background. First the “egg man” is rumored to be a reference to Eric Burdon of a group called the Animals. Burdon enjoyed breaking raw eggs on the bodies of women and hence was known as the "eggman."

REALLY glad to see you blogging Doug. This is a great gift to the “multi-dimentional” leaders of today’s Church. May many catch on to what you have to share… I intend to link your blog to all of my sites.
Doug,
Post Modern Communication has been taken to a new level with today’s “Young” people. The internet, blogs, and MySPace have generated a whole new way to communicate and write. I have watched my own teenagers learn a whole new language using symbols, letters and characters to communicate with their friends. I see today’s generation moving from catchy construction of sound to catchy construction of letters, symbols, and characters as a way to communicate with meaning. A line such as “R U OK 2 TXT 4 blogs” has meaning but to a select audience. So what I see in this post modern world of communication a whole new language being created that will allow society to communicate with meaning using nonsensical letters, numbers, and symbols.
Btw lol
